CGear’s Original Weave - The Patented multi-weave technology used for the Original Sand-Free Mat, their first recreational sand free mat. It is still only made one way – to standards that reflect their military roots. Originally developed for safe landing mats for military and commercial helicopters in extremely unforgiving environments, the Original Weave is incredibly tough and low maintenance.
The Original Sand-Free Mat – This mat started the sand free revolution, and it remains in high demand as the ultimate sand free ground pad, beach blanket, and equipment mat for serious outdoor adventures. It was quickly joined by the R.V. Mat and more recently the Drone Mat, same ultra-durable Original Weave but in shapes and formats to suit other activities.
Military-Grade Construction – In addition to CGear’s patented Sand-Free technology, the Original Weave mats are made to ensure ultra-durability, resistance to water, mould, stain and UV damage. The patented 3D layers are woven from polyethylene so water isn’t absorbed and sand and dirt won’t stick to it.

Great as a picnic or beach mat, create a sand, dirt and dust free zone outside your tent or camper, set it down as a ground cover in your caravan awning, that won’t kill the grass or trap moisture below it. The mats feature double reinforced corner D-rings (Drone mats have eyelets), so you can stake them down in the most extreme conditions, rig them as wind breaks or even trailer load tie-downs that won’t flap. The mesh is air permeable, but it kills the force of the wind and the particles carried in it, keeping the sheltered space comfortable. If you don't fly a drone the 90cm square Drone mat makes a great sit mat for walkers or an individual changing mat for surfers in the beach car park!
